The Philosophy of Horror (Part I): EtymologyThe Philosophy of Horror is a seven-part abstract adaptation of Noël Carroll’s influential film theoretical book of the same title (published in 1990), which is a close examination of the horror genre. The film uses hand painted and decayed 35mm film strips of the classic slasher movie A Nightmare on Elm Street (Wes Craven, 1984) and its sequel A Nightmare on Elm Street 2: Freddy's Revenge (1985).

The Social Bunny MurdersThe mockumentary opens with the line: “In the summer of 2010, Pleasantview witnessed a series of killings no one could explain... except the children.” Over a span of two weeks, five Sims are found dead under eerie and impossible circumstances — strangled in locked rooms, drowned in empty pools, or simply vanished. All the victims had previously reported seeing “the pink one” — a term children use for the elusive, silent figure known as the Social Bunny.

Simterview with the VampireSimterview with the Vampire is a 36-minute machinima mockumentary created using The Sims 3. Acclaimed journalist Jonathan Parker (Dean Roman Castiglione) accepts a mysterious invitation from Anastasia Vassiliev (Aylin Baykal), an ancient vampire intent on revealing her true nature to the world. I Smell a MouseA documentary puppet animation about Iiti’s (28) moving in day. As if a sign from the universe for her poor life choices, there seems to be a nightmarish mouse lurking in the shadows of her new home. Iiti has to get rid of the mouse by whatever means necessary. She arms herself with mouse traps, lethal spray and even an ultrasonic repellant. But the nasty mouse problem just escalates and ultimately leads Iiti to a strange coincidence. Could Iiti be a mouse herself?

The Body DissolverThe film is based on interviews with professional boxers recalling the moment they were knocked out. The Film combines documentary and fictional elements into a dense parafiction, tinted with body horror genre. Unreal 3D animations generated by the artist are confronted with found footage and the images of human bodies with the representations of imaginary, hyperbolic machines. The storyline reveals the recurring fantasies about the abandonment of the body and the visions of ecstasy, exploited in various spiritual discourses and pop-culture alike.
