新羔羊醫生Gred（任達華飾）是個一生致力於研發一種可以挽救絕症病人並可使人變成超人的新藥的醫生，他在他國外老師的支持下展開研究，在研究取得突破的時候，他的教授意圖竊取他的研究成果，在爭鬥中教授病發身亡，而因為教授的死，Gred 的研究沒人支持而被迫停止，他帶著他的學生兼女友回到香港。在香港，他的研究得到了舊同學現任醫學委員會委員周正春（Mike）（鄭浩南飾）的支持。就在一切進入佳境的時候，Gred 的女友被 Mike 迷奸了，當然這些女友也沒有和 Gred 説起，之後由於 Gred 長期忙於研究工作，女友耐不住寂寞，在 Mike 的強逼下，半推半就和他又一次發生了關係，而這一次被 Gred 碰到了，可是因為體位關係，女友看到了而 Mike 沒有看到 Gred（看到男友抓奸在床，仍處變不驚，繼續戰鬥到 Mike 癱軟）。事後女友和 Gred 決定報復，方法就是讓 Mike 成為新藥的實驗品。實驗剛開始時，Mike 體能大幅增強，但很快就因受到藥毒的侵蝕而掛掉了。因為開始了人體試驗，所以新藥有了大的突破。在以後的日子裏，Gred 碰到絕症病人就給他們使用新藥，開始的時候病人很快康復了，可是後來，副作用顯現了，病人身體出現大規模的潰爛，紛紛死亡，Gred 悔不當初，服下新藥自殺而亡。
