Синопсис

Summer of 1973, North Carolina. College student Devin Jones gets a job at a small amusement park called Joyland. There, he takes care of maintenance, dresses up as the park's mascot, and entertains children. And there, he also discovers the story of a gruesome crime that took place at the Haunted House and was never solved. But Devin isn't the only one fascinated by the park and its dark legend. Mike, a sickly boy with whom he soon forms a peculiar friendship, lives near his boarding house. The boy has never visited Joyland and would love to do so before he dies. It is then that Devin plans a private tour for the season finale. The day passes between roller coasters and horror stories about what might have happened to the murdered young woman. However, unwanted visitors and indiscreet questions can provoke unpredictable reactions. Without knowing it, Devin has gotten himself into a dangerous game from which he may never escape.
