줄거리

A grizzly bear who is wounded by three hunters in one year goes on a killing spree in the woods, taking revenge on humans as a whole. Jason and Chris Monroe, an estranged husband and wife, pursue the bear after it kills their only son, Buck.

그리즐리북미 국립공원 숲속에서 야영하던 여성 둘이 영화에서 가장 먼저 곰에게 습격당하는데 일행 하나는 눈앞에서 곰의 공격으로 처참하게 찢겨지고 다른 여성은 달아나 산속 빈 창고로 숨어 문을 잠그지만, 이게 오히려 자충수가 되어 쫓아온 곰이 문을 가볍게 부수고 그 여성도 공격으로 죽게된다. 다음 날, 곰이 먹다 남긴 여자들의 시체가 발견되어 산림 감시원이 식인 곰이 나타난 걸로 파악하고 시장에게 공원을 폐쇄하고 곰부터 잡자고 건의하지만 마침, 시기가 산악관광객이 많이 오는 시기라 그건 안된 다고 거부당한다. 하지만 그러다 여성 산림감시원도 죽고 다른 남성 감시원은 산림 망루에서 감시하다가 곰이 갑자기 나타나 망루를 부숴댈 때 다급하게 무전으로 도움 요청하며 총을 쏘았지만 무너지는 망루와 같이 추락해 즉사한다. 무전을 듣고 주인공과 사냥꾼들이 서둘러 왔을 때는, 곰은 흔적도 없었고 죽은 감시원 시체나 확인했을 뿐. 그럼에도 여전히 관광객이 넘치게 오던 이 산악공원에 사람이 많은 야영장까지 밤중에 나타나서는 텐트에 있는 또 한 여성을 습격하게 된다. 비명을 듣고 몰려든 사람들 앞에서 여자는 처참하게 공격을 당하고 겁에 질린 사람들은 충격 속에 달아난다. 그제 서야 방송 취재진이 몰려들면서 안전 문제를 성토하고 시장이 자칫하면 시장자리에서 물러나 위기에 처하자 비로소 시장은 사냥꾼들을 고용하고 산림감시원 대장인 주인공이 곰 사냥꾼 및 곰 관련 동물학자와 같이 곰을 잡고자 나서는데......
