Highly convoluted Mexican concoction involving the titular 'Devil's Horse' and a violent son brought back to life, courtesy of the aforementioned Devil who begins straight away to be even more violent then before, this time extending his violence to women and animals.

데드 버드미국의 한 작은 마을. 남북전쟁의 내전 상황에서 한 무리의 갱들이 은행을 습격한다. 잔인한 살인행각을 벌인 후, 그들은 날이 어두워지자 옥수수밭의 버려진 듯한 농가로 숨어드는데 그곳에서 기괴한 동물의 시체를 발견하고 긴장하기 시작한다. 한 사람 한 사람씩 정체를 알 수 없는 존재에 의해 차례로 살해 당하기 시작하고, 서로를 의심하던 갱들은 환영과 환청 속에 농가에 얽힌 무시무시한 비밀을 알게 된다. 결국 상상조차 끔찍한 지옥 속에 서 있는 자신들을 발견하게 되는데...

툼스톤 2무법 갱 집단인 블랙와터의 우두머리인 구에레로와 그의 부하들은 구에레로의 이복동생 레드를 교수형 직전에 구해낸다. 레드는 탄광촌 마을인 콜로라도 에덴데일을 털자고 제안하는데 채굴권 분쟁으로 묶여있는 금들이 은행에 보관되어 있다는 것이다. 조용하던 마을을 순식간에 장악한 구에레로와 레드, 블랙와터 패거리들은 손쉽게 금을 탈취하는데 성공한다. 금을 가지고 빨리 마을을 뜨려는 구에레로와 달리 레드는 마을에 머물러 그곳을 장악하려 하고, 급기야 구에레로에게 총을 겨눈다. 레드와 블랙와터 부하들에게 배신당한 구에레로는 총알 세례를 받으며 죽음을 맞이한다. 그러나 지옥의 문턱에서 만난 악마와 거래한 구에레로는 복수를 위해 죽음으로부터 되돌아온다. 그는 24시간 안에 레드를 비롯한 여섯 악당들의 영혼을 악마에게 가져다 주어야 한다. 만약 성공하지 못할 경우 천 배의 고통이 그를 기다리고 있다. 다시 살아난 구에레로. 더 이상 두려울 것도, 거칠 것도 없는 그의 잔혹한 전쟁이 시작된다.
