ブレア・ウィッチ製作費6万ドルという低予算作品ながら、世界中で記録的な大ヒットとなったホラー映画「ブレア・ウィッチ・プロジェクト」の17年ぶりとなる続編。大学生のヘザー、ジョシュ、マイクが、森に生息するという伝説の魔女「ブレア・ウィッチ」をテーマにしたドキュメンタリー映画製作のため、ブラック・ヒルズの森に分け入った。しかし3人はそのまま消息を絶ち、森に消えた。あの事件から20年後、ヘザーの弟ジェームズが姉らしき人物の映った映像をYouTube見つける。そして、ジェームズは仲間とともに、森の中へ足を踏み入れる。監督は「サプライズ」「ザ・ゲスト」などのホラー作品を手がけ、ハリウッド版「デスノート」の監督も務めるアダム・ウィンガード。

ア・フィールド・イン・イングランドDuring the Civil War in 17th-Century England, a small group of deserters flee from a raging battle through an overgrown field. They are captured by an alchemist, who forces the group to aid him in his search to find a hidden treasure that he believes is buried in the field.
