28週後...人間を凶暴化させるウイルスが蔓延したロンドンを舞台に、生き残った人々の闘いを描いた2002年製作のサバイバルスリラー「28日後…」の続編。感染した人間が凶暴化する新種のウイルス「RAGE（レイジ）」の蔓延により壊滅したロンドン。ウイルス発生から28週後、安全宣言が出されたロンドンでは米軍を主導としたNATO軍の保護下でようやく街の再建が始まる。スペインへ旅行していたため難を逃れたタミーとアンディの姉弟も無事帰国し、軍の監視下に置かれた保護区域で父ドンと再会を果たす。亡くなった母の写真を取りに行こうと保護区域を抜け出し自宅へ向かった彼らは、なぜか生きていた母アリスと遭遇。アリスはウイルスに感染しても発病しないキャリアであることが判明するが……。
