あらすじ

Three young adults, obsessed with the horrors of the modern world, find themselves trapped in the depths of a sprawling underground subway, which gradually transforms into a massive, nightmarish organic entity, eager to assimilate them for good.

パラサイト「デスペラード」「フロム・ダスク・ティル・ドーン」のロバート・ロドリゲスと、「スクリーム」の脚本家ケヴィン・ウィリアムソンが組んだSFスリラー。気弱な少年ケイシーは、ある日、グラウンドで奇妙な生き物を見つける。その生き物を水槽に入れた時、その生き物は変形し、攻撃的な本性を露にした。やがて、ケイシーはやたらに水を欲しがる辺りの人達のおかしな行動に気づく。「あの生物が人間に寄生しているかもしれない」と感じたケイシーは、仲間と共に学園の調査を開始。そこで、取り付かれた先生が保険医を襲う場面に遭遇する……。
サイレントヒル
サイレントヒルローズとクリストファーは、娘・シャロンの奇妙な言動に悩んでいた。ローズは、しばしば情緒不安定に陥り、何かに取り憑かれたかのように「サイレントヒル…」と謎のうめき声を発する娘に心を痛め、サイレントヒルという街が実在することを知り、治療のためにシャロンを連れてそこを訪ねることにする。しかし、サイレントヒルは30年前の大火によって多数の人々が死亡した忌まわしい場所であり、今では誰も近付かない廃墟と化した街であった。途中、女児誘拐犯と勘違いされて女性警官に追われるものの、二人とも帰り道が突如切れ無くなった街に取り残され、シャロンも後部座席から消えており、捜索、他の住人への聞き取りなど進めていくが不思議な現象に巻き込まれてゆく。

遊星からの物体X1982年の南極。ノルウェー隊のヘリが、1匹の犬を追ってアメリカ南極観測隊第4基地へ現れた。銃や手榴弾を使い執拗に犬を狙うが失敗し、手違いからヘリは爆発。一人生き残ったノルウェー隊員は基地内へ逃げた犬を追って銃撃を続け、基地の隊員を負傷させるが基地の隊長により射殺される。ノルウェー基地へ向かったヘリ操縦士のマクレディらが見つけたものは、自殺し凍りついた隊員の死体、何かを取り出したと思しき氷塊、そして異様に変形し固まったおぞましい焼死体だった。一行は調査のため、記録フィルムと焼死体を持ち帰る。
