アシュラ洪水やかんばつが相次ぎ、およそ10年もの長い期間続いた応仁の乱が勃発（ぼっぱつ）した1400年代の半ば。アシュラは荒野と化した京都でケダモノのように育ち、生き抜いていく。そんな中、優しい少女・若狭や法師の教えにより、言葉や笑うことを覚えたアシュラ。しかし天災が訪れ、人々は貧困によって追い詰められていく。

オオカミの家チリの2人組監督クリストバル・レオン＆ホアキン・コシーニャの初長編作品で、ピノチェト軍事政権下のチリに実在したコミューン「コロニア・ディグニダ」に着想を得て制作したストップモーションアニメ。美しい山に囲まれたチリ南部で、「助けあって幸せに」をモットーに掲げて暮らすドイツ人集落。動物が大好きな少女マリアは、ブタを逃してしまったために厳しい罰を受け、耐えきれず集落から脱走する。森の中の一軒家に逃げ込んだ彼女は、そこで出会った2匹の子ブタにペドロとアナと名づけて世話をするが、やがて森の奥からマリアを探すオオカミの声が聞こえてくる。マリアがおびえていると子ブタは恐ろしい姿に変わり、家は悪夢のような世界と化す。 2018年・第68回ベルリン国際映画祭フォーラム部門でカリガリ映画賞、第42回アヌシー国際アニメーション映画祭で審査員賞を受賞した。

Under the ShadowAfter Shideh's building is hit by a missile during the Iran-Iraq War, a superstitious neighbor suggests that the missile was cursed and might be carrying malevolent Middle-Eastern spirits. She becomes convinced a supernatural force within the building is attempting to possess her daughter Dorsa, and she has no choice but to confront these forces if she is to save her daughter and herself.
