テリファー０そのビデオは、絶対に見てはならなかったハロウィンの夜。ベビーシッターのサラは2人の兄妹の子守りをしていたがハロウィンのお菓子の袋の中に見覚えのない古びたビデオテープを発見する。ビデオテープを見たいという子供たちの好奇心に押され渋々再生するサラだったが、その中にはあまりにも残虐な3つの物語が映し出されて――。ビデオを見終わった頃、家の中では奇妙な出来事が起き始め、全てはもう手遅れだった……。

テリファーハロウィンパーティの帰り、タラとドーンは酔いを覚ますためダイナーに立ち寄る。するとゴミ袋を担いだピエロメイクの男が店に入ってきて、どういうわけかタラに熱視線を送り続ける。タラはその様子を不気味に感じるが、しばらくすると男はトイレで何か問題を起こしたようで店を追い出される。ほどなくしてタラとドーンも店を出るが、止めておいた車がパンクしていた。タラは姉に電話して迎えにきてもらうことにしたが、その裏でピエロメイクの男がダイナーの店員を殺害していた。そしてそこから、タラは一晩中ピエロメイクの男に追われるはめになる。 2016年にアメリカで限定的に公開され、コアなファンによる口コミが広がったカルト的な一作。日本でも劇場未公開だったが、2023年に続編の「テリファー　終わらない惨劇」が劇場公開されることを受けて、本作も急きょ劇場公開される。
