ハッチング -孵化-長女が見つけた謎の卵の孵化をきっかけに起こる恐ろしい事件により、家族の真の姿が浮き彫りになっていく様を描いたフィンランド製ホラー。北欧フィンランドで家族と暮らす12歳の少女ティンヤ。完璧で幸せな家族の動画を世界へ発信することに夢中な母親を喜ばすため、すべてを我慢し自分を抑えるようになった彼女は、体操の大会優勝を目指す日々を送っていた。ある夜、ティンヤは森で奇妙な卵を見つける。ティンヤが家族には内緒で、自分のベッドで温め続けた卵は、やがて大きくなり、遂には孵化する。卵から生まれた「それ」は、幸福に見える家族の仮面を剥ぎ取っていく。監督は世界の映画祭で短編作品が高い評価を受け、今回が長編デビューとなる新鋭女性監督ハンナ・ベルイホルム。
