Inland Empire - L'impero della menteUn'esperienza. Inland Empire di David Lynch non è un film organico, lineare, comprensibile, con un inizio e una fine definibili tali, ma è innanzitutto un'esperienza sensoriale. Un flusso di pensiero libero di un artista, che non richiede spiegazioni, ma solamente intuizioni, emozioni personali, positive o negative che siano. Si potrebbe parlare di mondi paralleli, di realtà e finzione che si fondono, si incontrano, si abbandonano, di cinema e televisione (e di pellicola e digitale), del concetto del Tempo, non sequenziale, "random" e assoluto.

Questi, forse impotente ma sinceramente innamorato, decide di concederle un periodo di riposo nella villetta solitaria dove ha passato l'infanzia. Giunta sul posto, Cathryn si sfoga dialogando con i propri fantasmi in un racconto fiabesco.
