Das Wesen verfügt über enorme Mandibeln und beachtliche Körperkräfte. Chapins Frau befreit den Tingler des nachts und dieser tötet Chapin fast. Der Tingler entkommt und versetzt mitunter das Publikum eines Stummfilmkinos, das gerade den Film Tol'able David ansieht, in Angst und Schrecken.
