Brendan Young and Darryl Jennings take a trip to Lake Arrowhead with a group of college friends to celebrate Young's girlfriend's birthday. One-by-one the co-eds begin disappearing until a mysterious young visitor arrives and helps them begin to unravel their tangled web of terror.

The HelpersAusgelassene junge Clique, Autopanne im Nirgendwo, freundliche Gastgeber entpuppen sich als fiese Psychos. Soweit alles wie gehabt. THE HELPERS wird mit (buchstäblich) einem Schlag megazynisch und sehr sadistisch, ist dabei aber gar nicht mal so blutrünstig. Die Schurken zeichnen sich hier dadurch aus, dass sie sämtliche ihrer grausamen Spielchen mit Scherzen und einem breiten Grinsen kommentieren... und dadurch, dass sie ein äußerst fadenscheiniges Motiv für ihre Taten haben. Auffällig sind die ständigen Wechsel hin und her zwischen der Handkamera der Gepeinigten und der normalen HD-Filmkamera zur herkömmlichen Erzählung der Handlung.
