Jeremy und seinem Partner gelingt es zwar knapp dem tödlichen Crash zu entkommen, aber das perfide Spiel des rätselhaften Anrufers ist noch lange nicht vorbei. Er entführt die gemeinsame Tochter des einstigen Paares und zwingt Pamela dazu, in der Leitung zu bleiben und eingehende Notrufe nicht zu beachten. In der Stadt kommt es zu Chaos und Jeremy eilt von einem Krisenherd zum nächsten. Pamela ist derweil komplett auf sich alleine gestellt und erkennt erst langsam das Ausmaß der Bedrohung. Es beginnt ein Wettlauf gegen die Zeit…
