"Tarantella" was an early Super 8 short film directed by Christopher Nolan with his childhood friend Roko Belic. It was made in 1989 while Nolan was studying at University College London. The film aired on "Image Union," a PBS programme in Chicago. It is about the suffering of a young man while he has nightmare about spiders and demons.

Die Handlung ähnelt der einer Sitcom, da an bestimmten Stellen aufgenommenes Gelächter und Applaus eingespielt wird. Andererseits handelt es sich nicht um eine Komödie und Gelächter bzw. Applaus tauchen ohne Zusammenhang mit dem Geschehen auf. Die Handlung ist sehr begrenzt, größtenteils beobachtet man die Hasenmenschen beim Nichtstun. Dialoge werden ebenfalls sehr sparsam eingesetzt und weisen lange Pausen auf.
