Diese übernehmen die Körper der Menschen im Schlaf, indem sie durch Ohren oder Nase eindringen und sich im Gehirn einnisten. Der junge Shin'ichi wird ebenfalls heimgesucht, allerdings trägt er Kopfhörer, sodass das Alien nicht in seinen Kopf eintreten kann und gezwungen ist, in seine Hand zu schlüpfen. Dadurch behält Shin'ichi sein menschliches Bewusstsein. Von nun an teilt er sich aber seinen Körper mit dem fremden Wesen, das in der Lage ist, seine Hand in alle möglichen, tödlichen Gegenstände zu verwandeln. während die beiden lernen, mit der Situation umzugehen, führt die menschheit einen verzweifelten Kampf gegen die Besatzer und Shin'ichi fühlt sich in der Pflicht zu helfen...
