Robert Englund (nato il 6 giugno 1947) è un attore, doppiatore e regista statunitense, diventato una delle icone più importanti del cinema horror grazie alla sua interpretazione di uno dei personaggi più celebri del genere. Dopo gli studi teatrali e gli inizi nel cinema e in televisione, ha costruito una lunga carriera caratterizzata da ruoli molto diversi tra loro. Ha raggiunto la fama mondiale interpretando Freddy Krueger nella saga Nightmare - Dal profondo della notte, ruolo che lo ha reso una leggenda dell'horror. Ha ripreso il personaggio in numerosi capitoli della serie, tra cui Nightmare 2 - La vendetta di Freddy, Nightmare 3 - I guerrieri del sogno, Nightmare 4 - Il non risveglio, Nightmare 5 - Il mito, Nightmare 6 - La fine e Nightmare - Nuovo incubo.
