Il film è avvincente e fantasioso. Bizzarra la parte di metacinema in cui vengono mostrati pezzi del passato di Maciste (in realtà sono i precedenti episodi della serie).

Autostrada per l'Inferno (1991)Rachel e Charlie stanno andando a sposarsi di nascosto a Las Vegas. Charlie torna a chiedere aiuto e spiegazioni al benzinaio che gli rivela che lì c’è una strada nella strada anche se non si vede. Il benzinaio spiega che su quella strada molte ragazze sono scomparse e lui sa che sono state prese dal poliziotto incontrato da Charlie, soprannominato il “Sergente”. L’unica speranza è di fermarlo prima che arrivi alla città infernale e gli dà un’arma speciale e un’auto d’epoca con cui potrà prendere la strada infernale e tornare nella realtà.
