Biografie
Stephen King ist ein amerikanischer Autor zeitgenössischer Horror-, Science-Fiction- und Fantasy-Romane. Seine Bücher wurden über 350 Millionen Mal verkauft und in zahlreiche Spielfilme, Fernsehfilme und Comics umgesetzt. Bis 2011 hat King 49 Romane geschrieben und veröffentlicht, darunter sieben unter dem Pseudonym Richard Bachman, fünf Sachbücher und neun Kurzgeschichtensammlungen. Viele seiner Geschichten spielen in seinem Heimatstaat Maine. King hat Bram Stoker Awards, World Fantasy Awards und British Fantasy Society Awards erhalten, seine Novelle The Way Station war für den Nebula Award nominiert und 2003 verlieh ihm die National Book Foundation die Medal for Distinguished Contribution to American Letters.
