Biografie
Natasha Lyonne, mit vollständigem Namen Natasha Bianca Lyonne Braunstein, wurde am 4. April 1979 in New York City geboren. Sie ist eine US-amerikanische Schauspielerin, Regisseurin, Komikerin, Produzentin und Autorin, die ihre Karriere als Kind begann und später vor allem durch ihre reifen Rollen in Film und Fernsehen bekannt wurde. Bekanntheit erlangte sie durch die Rolle der Jessica in der "American Pie"-Filmreihe und als Nicky Nichols in der Netflix-Serie "Orange Is the New Black" (2013–2019), für die sie eine Emmy-Nominierung erhielt. Zudem spielte sie die Hauptrolle und war Co-Schöpferin der Netflix-Serie "Russian Doll" (2019–2022), für die sie ebenfalls Emmy-Nominierungen in mehreren Kategorien erhielt. Seit 2023 ist sie Hauptdarstellerin in der Krimiserie "Poker Face". Lyonne wuchs jüdisch-orthodox auf, ihre mütterlichen Großeltern waren Holocaust-Überlebende. Sie verbrachte Teile ihrer Kindheit auch in Israel und kehrte später in die USA zurück. Sie begann bereits als Sechsjährige mit Schauspielrollen, etwa in "Pee-wee's Playhouse" und dem Film "Heartburn" (1986). Sie war auch als Model tätig. Natasha Lyonne hat eine markante rauchige Stimme und einen prägnanten New Yorker Akzent, der vielen ihrer Rollen eigen ist. Sie hatte in ihrem Leben mit Problemen wie einer Heroinsucht zu kämpfen und musste 2005 eine Operation am offenen Herzen über sich ergehen lassen. Danach hat sie sich teilweise selbstständiger gemacht und ist unter anderem Mitgründerin eines KI-Filmstudios geworden. Darüber hinaus ist sie auch als Drehbuchautorin und Regisseurin aktiv, unter anderem wirkte sie bei "Russian Doll" und "Poker Face" auch hinter der Kamera.
