Ellie Kemper, mit vollständigem Namen Elizabeth Claire Kemper, wurde am 2. Mai 1980 in Kansas City, Missouri, geboren. Sie ist eine US-amerikanische Schauspielerin, Komikerin und Autorin. Bekannt wurde sie vor allem durch ihre Rollen als Erin Hannon in der Sitcom The Office (2009–2013) und als Kimmy Schmidt in der Netflix-Serie Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt (2015–2019). Ebenso hatte sie Nebenrollen in Filmen wie Bridesmaids (2011), 21 Jump Street (2012) und Sex Tape (2014). Für ihre Rolle in Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt wurde sie zweimal für den Primetime Emmy Award als beste Hauptdarstellerin in einer Comedyserie nominiert. Ellie Kemper stammt aus einer wohlhabenden Familie; ihr Vater David Woods Kemper ist Vorstandsvorsitzender eines großen Bankunternehmens in Missouri.
